Ingredients:
Rosemary
Salvia rosmarinus:
Soothes psychological tension. Energizing, good for the memory. When the circulation is deficient, we become cut off from awareness of some parts of our bodies (something exacerbated by constriction) and eventually begin to lose adequate blood flow to the brain. Hot herb like Rosemary create sharp sensations on the tongue (their spines are an interesting signature here) can bring us into sudden, sharp awareness, quicken the heartbeat, and send blood flowing more forcefully and swiftly through the body
Some emotions, particularly grief, tend to settle into the watery places in the body, especially the lungs and the fascia. They bog us down and often have the dull, aching quality of rheumatic pains—your soul can feel the way an arthritic person’s bones and joints feel just before a rainstorm. The body needs help clearing them. Bitter, warming, aromatic herbs can accomplish this well—their bitterness stimulates the liver, the heat stimulates the circulation, and the aromatic quality opens and engages the mind and the senses.
In the early stages of such malaise, kitchen herbs Rosemary, can be helpful.( Seán Pádraig O’Donoghue)
Ashwagandha
Withania somnifera:
The name “ashwagandha” describes the smell of its root, meaning “like a horse.” By definition, ashwa means horse. Also can be use for Stamina as an aphrodisiac for men. Practitioners use this herb as a general tonic to boost energy and reduce stress and anxiety. Some also claim that the herb may be beneficial for certain cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, and anxiety. Is an evergreen shrub that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. It has a long history of use in traditional medicine.
For hundreds of years, people have used the roots and orange-red fruit of ashwagandha for medicinal purposes. The herb is also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry.
Cedar
Thuja plicata:
Cleansing cedar, Our ancestors evolved in a world that they experienced as alive and connected to them, speaking to them in many ways. Their bodies were attuned to the rhythms of wind and water, the sound of the air moving beneath an Eagle’s wing, the exhalations of Cedar and Honeysuckle and Datura, the scents in the air, and with the pheromones of desire in each other’sheartbeats. When I lived on the West Coast, I would always have fresh Red Cedar boughs present in the room when working with a grieving person and would encourage grieving people to burn dried Cedar leaves at home. Cedar) can, indeed, be toxic to the liver. But in recent years, medical historians have concluded that those who died from drinking too much absinthe most likely died not of thujone poisoning but of alcohol-induced liver damage, though likely the combination of the two at large quantities with great frequency made them die somewhat faster than other alcohol addicts. However, there is little justification for the idea that absinthe is harmful in moderation.( Seán Pádraig O’Donoghue)
